Calling To New City Fellowship Orangeburg

It’s me, Joel, and I’m on a mission!  A mission to preach and teach the uncompromising Word of God to a broken world.  Many know that I have always had a heart for ministry, and I wholeheartedly believe that the Gospel can mend this broken world.  These 2 Scriptures drive my calling, goals, and desires:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”Romans 1:16

“But whatever were gains to me, I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.  What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.”  – Philippians 3:7-8

With this being said, my family and I have decided to live and dedicate the rest of our lives to Christ and serve His church.  Right now, God has called us to Orangeburg, SC, where I will be serving as an Outreach Director at New City Fellowship Orangeburg.  My responsibilities will be to lead and develop a college ministry, preach regularly, grow and lead the church’s existing youth ministry team, lead a ministry called Urban Ministry Teams (UMTS– which teaches and trains other churches on how to do Urban Ministry), and continue my seminary training at Gordan Conwell Theological Seminary.

Ministry Vision

Over 90% of believing college students neglect their faith by their sophomore year that is 1 million every year. That will be 45 million by 2050. But through our college ministry by the power of the Holy Spirit, that number will change because through the Gospel of Christ, college students will be developed, educated, challenged, led, and discipled, creating a generation of unapologetically black Christians who are unashamed about Christ and his church.

New City is a church plant in a low-income community, so we will need to raise financial support for our yearly total of $30,000.00. We ask that you prayerfully support us as we continue to spread the Goods News of Jesus in Orangeburg, SC.  If you have any questions, please email me at or call me at  704-576-6337.  “Thank you” so much for your support and for taking the time to listen to my heart!  Have a great day!
